Happy Birthday Trainer Travis! - Help Our TROOPS!
Happy Birthday Mr. Trainer Travis! (May 2nd)
I recently received an email from Travis, who has been overseas helping our Soldiers get some R & R and teaching them some good old fashioned Power Lifting!
Travis is one of those people that you know are just GOOD PEOPLE.....He's got a heart of gold, passion of a lion, and is as big as a bear, but has a sense of a wise man....
Please Read Bellow:
"Hey guys!
It's my birthday today. But I don't tell you this to guilt you into wishing me a happy birthday or anything like that.
The reason I tell you this is that as most of you know, I am now at a new Base in Afghanistan. I am the new Recreation Manger here and we have a "blank slate"! What I mean by that is that we have our work cut out for us.
Things are very similar here as they were in Iraq in that things are hard to come by. Especially with it comes to "normal" channels.
I need some help. If you have some items lying around the house and are looking to get rid of them, you could give me a belated birthday present and send those items our way. Or if you wanted to go spend a little bit of that Obama rebate money, you could send some of that, too.
Here's what we could use:
Used DVD's and used video games (only Xbox 360 right now).
Movie Posters (all kinds for our theater).
Bodybuilding posters for the gym.
Dart boards and darts.
Anything you can think of that might go in a rec room. Poker chips, cards, roll out felt, etc, etc.
$$$
These are just some of the things we could use.
My address here is
Travis Luethe
455 AEW/EFSS
APO AE 09354
Those items will come to me here at the rec center and be put directly to use!
Thanks in advance!
Wish you all the best.
Travis"
IF ANYONE OUT THERE CAN GIVE, PLEASE HELP MR. TRAVIS OUT AND HELP OUT OUR BOYS & GIRLS OVER THERE!
LET HIM KNOW THAT SHANNON GAVE YOU A HEADS UP, AND PLEASE PASS THIS AROUND TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW SO WE CAN HELP FILL A NEED!
THANKS EVERYONE!
